RED STAR
RED ALERT'S VIPER-29 Conversion is the highest performance subsonic jet warbird on the airshow circuit. With a thrust to weight ratio better than an A-10, the Viper can out climb and out turn the best. Our conversion was performed by Aero Enterprises the leading Jet Warbird importer in the US. With a minimal downtime of one week the Viper conversion turns a good aerobatic jet into a superior performer that has no equal in the market. A typical L-29 take-off is 2000 ft with a deck angle of 30 degrees, the Viper takes off in 900 ft with a deck angle of 75 degrees. The Viper conversion was not only a good business move for Red Alert, being we fly simulated air-air combat, but is a blast to fly. Joe Gano's Viper in 2007 set a Reno Air Race Course Record with a qualifying speed of 517 mph! See below for pictures of our conversion.
